Leadership
Director, The Nest
At the helm is Prof. Stephen Mavely, whose visionary leadership guides the centre’s development. Drawing from over four decades in education, counselling, and pastoral care, he conceptualized this project from a deep understanding of contemporary challenges and a commitment to a wholistic approach to wellness.

Director, Guru Ayurveda
guruayurveda.orgDirector of Guru Ayurveda in Irinjalakuda, and consulting physician for Ayurvedic care at The Nest. He works from the classical texts, with herbal medicines and external therapies chosen for the person in front of him.
Professional & support staff
Professional counsellors bring diverse expertise in psychological, spiritual, and holistic approaches. Each is selected not only for qualifications but for the capacity to embody compassionate, non-judgmental presence. They work collaboratively, recognizing that complex challenges often benefit from multiple perspectives.
Qualified practitioners from Guru Ayurveda, Irinjalakuda, Keralam, led by Dr Martin P Pal and associates. They work in concert with our counselling team, care that encompasses body, mind, and spirit.
Collaborative arrangement with Sarvodaya Hospital, a multi-speciality hospital in the city, headed by trustee Sujit Bhattacharya. The hospital generously provides clinical psychology services for surrounding villages, visitors, and residents who need or request them.
Close ties with the Department of Psychology of Assam Don Bosco University. The university team is led by Dr Chandita Baruah (Head of Department; addiction and trauma counselling), with Dr Monikankana Sharma (community-based psychological work) and Asst. Professor Afrin Mazid (cognitive behavioural therapy).
Maintenance, kitchen, administration, security, and drivers — the welcoming, efficient environment that facilitates healing. Together they contribute to the distinctive ambiance of care and competence.
The Nest benefits from the Salesian Community, initially an extension of the University Community. This presence grounds our centre in spiritual values that complement a professional approach to wellness.
